What to Expect When You Visit Clacher & Hook

We take the time to carefully assess and listen to the needs of each patient.

We’ll start with an initial interview to determine the core reason for your visit, and record your current health and any symptoms. We’ll then undergo a refractive eye examination to determine the quality of your vision and the need for vision aids, followed by a thorough examination of your eye health. This will include microscopic examination of the outside of your eye as well as examination and digital imaging of the internal structures. If there is a need for further investigation, treatment or referral, we’ll explain your options and provide our recommendations.

We’ll discuss results from our comprehensive eye examination with you in detail and, if necessary, provide you with options to correct your vision. We’ll go through the different lens types, designs and contact lenses and help you choose the best solution for your needs and lifestyle.

Should you need spectacles, our highly skilled and experienced dispensing staff will guide you through our broad selection of frames and help you choose a pair that best suits your lens type, style preferences and face shape. Once you’ve chosen a frame you like, we’ll order the spectacles for you. Typically, they’ll arrive within seven to ten working days. We’ll contact you as soon as they arrive and have been thoroughly checked by our staff. When you come in to collect your new glasses, we’ll check your vision with the new lenses and adjust your frames for optimum comfort.

You’re welcome to return any time for our free frame adjustment and cleaning services.
