Where you will receive personal and individualised attention to all of your eyecare needs. Our practice was established in 1952 when Tom Clacher began practising in the local area. He quickly developed a reputation for professional, personalised attention, and the practice has been family owned and operated since then.

Optometrist, Mac Hook, after working with his father-in-law Tom since 1975, purchased the practice in 1994. He was joined in 2007 by his daughter Sally Hook, who graduated with honours from QUT in 2004. Both Mac and Sally live locally in the Wynnum area.

Our friendly and capable support staff have considerable experience in providing guidance and advice regarding your eyewear needs.

Our opening hours are:
Monday – Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am to 12noon
Thursday night: By appointment
